The growth we see are from our players who don't want to see this great sport die. BECAUSE OF THEM WE GROW!!! Through hard work from Eric Swanson,  Rudy Morel, and many volunteer who have their full time jobs and then extend themselve for the organization, and because of all the clubs, not only in the USA, but around the world, Wallyball continue to live. We American Wallyball Association, grow to unite our friends the players , from around the world. It is because of you that this happens.KEEP IT UP PLAYERS! Support your local clubs and organizations. Without you we are nothing. We welcome ideas on how we can can make this player organization more successful.

We still pack them in for leagues and tournament

Rob Drake, (CourtMastersWallyball) American Wallyball Association

CourtMasters Wallyball currently has 28 coed triples teams competing on Wednesday nights. There are 4 separate 7 team leagues. They have an open league, Advanced league and two Intermediate leagues.

The matches are hard fought at all levels, and it’s really fun to watch the open level players. They are some of the best player around, and they really put on the show say Rob Drake.

They also have 26 coed double teams competing on Monday nights. There is a 7-team Open league, a 7-team advanced league and two 6-team Intermediate leagues.

You can find Wallyball being played almost every day of the week at La Mesa Wallyball Club, which is the home of CourtMasters Wallyball, The bigger Wallyball   league in the world.

One of the league players (Stu Scott) organizes a social league on Tuesday nights. He has 20-30 players participating. Another player (Wayne Burnette) offers wallyball classes for youths from 10-18 years of age. Many players play socially on Thursday, Friday and Sunday nights, in addition to the league play. It is not unusual to find players who play 3-5 days a week.

I just finished running new players through 3 separate wallyball clinics. The free two-hour clinic is meant to introduce new players to the sport. I go over the rules of the game, run some drills and then let them play for an hour or so.

I also just finished teaching an 8-hour (four days, two hours a day) wallyball class. My 6 students had all gone though wallyball clinics in the past and they wanted to develop their skills so they could get in to my leagues.

And more people continue to show interest. I’m now in the process of calling and scheduling more potential players into new wallyball clinics. All these contacts come from ‘word of mouth’ referrals from current league players. Friends referring friends.

Say, Rob Drake CourtMasters director and founder.

The CourtMasters Web site is up and running, and the league players really love it .Finally, La Mesa Wallyball club recently hosted it’s 8th annual April Fool’s Wallyball Tournament. With player coming in from Arizona, Oregon, and Colorado.

Dutch in Wallyball             Let me first introduce myself and the Racketcentre were I'm playing.   My name is Frits Steketee and I am live in Zoetermeer.  A city in the Netherlands (Europe) known by lots of Racquetball playes who have been there for the Dutch and European Opens.    The Dutch Racquetballteam is playing and training here and we have some European champions.  The next Ducth Open is on 22/23 May of this year.  Beside racquetball we have squash, tennis, fitness, aerobics, steps dance and a nice bar/restaurant.                                                               Since a few weeks we've been introduced with Wallyball and I must say that its great succes. We're got the official balls and nets out of the AWA America and we play it with a lot men and women. Because of it we have a few questions about the sport hoping that now that we haved discover the American Wallyball Association they will help us. We are the very new country member of The American Wallyball Association.  (Frits Steketee The Netherland)

Wallyball in Venezuela.

An exciting game that is rapidly qrowing at Valle Arriva Athletic Club in Venezuela. The game is easy to learn. It's basically an off-the wall volleyball game. Meaning the ball can be hit off the side walls as well as directly over the net. Valle Arriva A\C hosted the Arriva Wallyball Tour. in December. We have a good turn out, and our Mens intermedia placed 1st, and our women's open team placed 2nd. Congratulations everyone! on top of all that, everyone had a great time. Gracias to The American Wallyball Association for they continue support.                 Que Viva El Wallyball!                                 Danilo Cabrera
